Here we can exchange recipes, new and old, share family memories, and get to know one another more.
Please add recipes as you can. The more we have, the better. It makes it extra special when you add personal stories as well, especially for recipes that have been passed down.
Also, please include a label for each recipe, such as Main Dish, Side Dish, Quick and Easy, Kid Favorite, Salad, Soup, Bread, Dessert, etc. In addition please include your name as a label, so someone could search for recipes posted by you. This will make it easier to find recipes.
If you are unfamiliar with using a blog, it is quite easy. I was intimidated at first, but soon saw how simple it is. If you want to post a recipe, click on "New Post" in the upper right hand corner. From there you can add a title and start typing your recipe. You can spell check, add a photo, etc. Then click on Publish Post, and your recipe will be added.
Another fun thing about blogs is that people can comment on your post. This could include a question about the recipe, positive feedback, story, etc. Just click on Comments at the bottom of the post and you can post a comment. You may need to create an accout with Google first to post.
We hope you enjoy this forum for connection and recipe sharing. If we decide to print a cookbook in the future, this will make it easier to compile as all the recipes will be typed in and saved.
Let's stay connected!

Hey there, your other blog is set to private so I can't comment back to you there...the milking thing takes as much time as you want it to. I have to finish my enclosed milking system so it will only take about 10 min 2x per day to get 2 cups each milking (4 cups per day) ...right now I am milking by hand so it takes more like 20 min 2x per day to get the same amount of milk.
We just bred our doe this week so let me know if you want to reserve a kid. They'll be here in 5 months and come from TOP milking and show lines. The wethers (fixed males) are $75 ea -Does $200 and Bucks $150. They are all registered and get yearly vaccines. The buck I just used to breed my doe is polled (meaning he has no horns!) So I'm hoping for polled kids. If they end up having horns we disbud those at 2 weeks of age.
:)
You can email me with any other questions or comments at stewa31@aol.com ....I would love to help you get started with these wonderful animals!
